August Catechist Curriculum Gathering
Catechists are invited to attend a curriculum gathering on August 19 with an OSV representative, who will provide an overview of Alive in Christ and offer guidance for using the program in weekly lessons. This gathering will also include a PREP program summary, important updates for the year, classroom expectations, and time for questions.
Catechist books and materials will be distributed before August 19 so catechists have time to review the curriculum and prepare for the training. More information to follow.
Catechetical — Catechetical Sunday
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, catechists will be recognized, blessed, and commissioned for their ministry of handing on the faith.
The 2026 Catechetical Sunday theme is “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me… to bring good news to the poor.” This is a special opportunity for the parish community to pray for our catechists, students, and families as we begin a new year of Religious Education. Classes start Monday, September 21, Tuesday, September 22 and Sunday, September 27.
