Faith in Our Future
enters cohort stage

Faith in Our Future, the Diocese-wide pastoral planning initiative, is well underway and is now moving into its next phase.

During January and February, parishioners in more than 100 communities across Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties learned about the new initiative, and were asked in to give their input to their experience of parish life.  Town hall style meetings were held in some parishes, surveys were distributed in others, and still other parishes conducted targeted interviews or held small group discussions.

That input, collected by core teams assigned in each parish, along with parish statistics and other information, will make up the primary focus of the next step in the process, as parishes will come together in groups, or cohorts, to review the information and make suggestions as to how parish life can be strengthened.  Their suggestions will be submitted to a Diocesan Planning Commission in June, who will study them and make preliminary recommendations.
